Resources and support during difficult times
Dear DU community,
We had hoped to wait until the community was more settled into the fall term to share this message, but in addition to today being the anniversary of 9/11, recent horrific events—especially a school shooting close to home—led us to reaching out this first week.Ìý
We hope that you will access these important resources as often as you may need them today, this week, and throughout the year.
For students
- The provides medical and mental health services to students, including in-person and virtual, crisis and after-hours support. All Âé¶¹Çø students have access to free crisis services at the HCC, regardless of insurance coverage. Visit or call 303-871-2205. Ìý
- , a department in the Dean of Students Office, is a University resource where trained staff members connect students to support resources. You can activate these services for yourself or another student by completing a or by emailing sos@du.edu. Ìý

For faculty and staff
- is a confidential counseling and referral service for employees.
- is available to all benefited employees and their immediate family members.
- Cigna Members: Virtual behavioral health via MDLive, offering therapy and psychiatric services for conditions like anxiety, PTSD, and addiction
- Kaiser Members: Virtual care options include phone, video, chat, and e-visits.
For all community members
- The is a confidential and impartial resource that promotes collaboration and supports the constructive resolution of conflict related concerns among the campus community.
- Campus Safety: Please call 303-871-3000 (or 911 in emergencies).
- The DU Safe app offers real-time alerts and tools for staying informed and connected, including the virtual walk home feature.
