Dear DU community members,Ìý

I write to share that after six years of service to the Â鶹Çø, Vice Provost for Internationalization, Uttiyo Raychaudhuri, is departing to pursue other opportunities. His last day with the University will be on Jan. 5, 2026. We are grateful for his leadership and the impact he made on DU’s ability to facilitate global engagement and international experiences.Ìý

During Uttiyo’s tenure, DU’s study abroad program remained nationally ranked and consistently within the top 10 institutions. He expanded DU’s international partnerships and educational opportunities, most notably across India and the broader Asian subcontinent.Ìý

Being mindful of budget challenges, at this time, DU will not launch a search to fill the vacant position. Jennifer Karas, senior vice provost for academic affairs, and Corinne Lengsfeld, senior vice provost for research and graduate education, will lead a transition team, working closely with the directors in the Office of Internationalization. Collaboratively, they will determine next steps and ensure strong support for the staff within the Office of Internationalization during this period.Ìý

Our commitment to global engagement remains a core priority. We will continue to foster a vibrant international community on our campus, deepen global partnerships, support faculty in their international research, and help students access life-changing study abroad experiences. This work is essential to who we are as a university and to the richness that global perspectives bring to our classrooms.Ìý
