The Lamont Wind Ensemble spotlights the energy and innovation of contemporary music in 鈥淢odern Movements.鈥 From the driving rhythms of Michael Gandolfi鈥檚 Flourishes and Meditations to the sultry grooves of John Mackey鈥檚 Strange Humors鈥攑erformed with guest artists Denver Dance鈥攖his program pulses with vitality. Bassoon virtuoso and Lamont professor Martin Kuuskman takes center stage in Nico Muhly鈥檚 dynamic concerto Reliable Sources. Joining forces with the Denver School of the Arts Wind Ensemble, this concert is both a celebration of modern compositional voices and an inspiring collaboration across generations.
