Intended for learners with little or no exposure to German, this non-credit course covers the basics of the German language with a focus on developing communication skills. To complete this course curriculum in its entirety, learners should expect to enroll in the fall, winter, and spring sessions. Learners can join for any 10-week session; however, students who start in the winter or spring should be prepared to learn alongside students who have already been studying for 1-2 quarters. In each course, learners will meet for 90 minutes weekly with a DU language instructor who will guide learners’ studies and provide opportunities for engaging in conversation during weekly meetings. Learners can earn 1 continuing education unit (CEU) for each 10-week session of this course.
